Using the social technology of a healing circle, SeQuoia Kemp will facilitate a unique opportunity for members of the Syracuse community to address intergenerational trauma in service of gaining greater reproductive justice for all. No experience with healing circles is necessary for attendance, as the first part of the event will explain what one is and sharing in the circle is voluntary. There will also be time to write and reflect in small groups. The event will culminate with a call to action, songs, and information about community resources.
While this workshop is open to all mothers and birth workers, space is limited. Please register here by 2/13/23 and include any food and accessibility accommodation requests. Food and childcare provided.
This event is part of the Syracuse University Humanities Center’s 2022-23 Syracuse Symposium on Repair.
